Headlining the women’s 200 fly is Regan Smith, who recently broke a 14-year-old American record in the event. Smith will compete in the final heat alongside her training partner Lindsay Looney and 200-yard fly NCAA champion Emma Sticklen. In the second-to-last heat, Hali Flickinger, last year’s World Championships silver medalist and also an Arizona State-trained swimmer, will showcase her skills. The first circle-seeded heat will be led by the Texas duo of Dakota Luther and Kelly Pash.

For the men’s 200 fly, there will be six heats featuring Gabriel Jett, Trenton Julian, and Carson Foster leading the way in their respective seeded heats. Foster will be swimming next to Olympian Zach Harting.

The 100 freestyle prelims have high stakes since there are no semifinals at this year’s selection meet. Six out of the eight finalists are likely to earn spots at the World Championships for relay duty. Heat seven will feature Natalie Hinds and Gretchen Walsh, while heat eight will showcase Abbey Weitzeil and Erika Brown. In heat nine, spectators can look forward to the talents of Kate Douglass, Torri Huske, and Claire Curzan.

In his Nationals debut, Caeleb Dressel will participate in the 100 free, swimming alongside Matt King and Shaine Casas. Ryan Held and Brooks Curry will be racing in lane four in their respective heats.

Additionally, the Tuesday events include the women’s 800 free and men’s 1500 free. The earlier heats of these races will take place in the afternoon at 3:30 p.m., while the fastest heats will occur during the finals session.
